On Saturday a Houston couple, Miguel Hanson and Diana Wesley, plan to have a computer stand in as the minister and conduct their wedding ceremony.
The couple will stand before a 30-inch monitor in the backyard of Hanson’s parents and let the robotic voice of their computer greet the guests and go through all of the formalities of the wedding ceremony. Miguel wrote a special program for the occasion.
Later, the couple will still have to go and get a justice of the peace to sign their paperwork for it to be legal.
Response: Really? Is the computer going to say the opening prayer also? And what about some nice computer generated special music for the occasion? Maybe Hanson can also program a computer to be his divorce lawyer if the marriage doesn’t last? Anyway, wake me up and let me off when computers can legally do it all.
Seriously, we hope and pray only for the best for this couple and may their love and marriage last a lifetime. *Top
